Inspiring Beauty Quotes: A #BOAW3 Wrap-Up, Part II

Last week thousands of folks visited The Beauty of a Woman BlogFest 3, no doubt finding inspiration. I joked with one participant that the fest could be called The Beauty of a Woman’s Goosebumps, as that’s precisely how the incredible posts affected me! Each blogger exemplified beauty in a unique way, making us laugh, think, smile and even shed a few tears. THANK YOU for making the BOAW BlogFest III a truly beautiful event!

True beauty is timeless!

True beauty is timeless.

Rather than share more of my own thoughts on the fest, I decided to pull clips from the posts that most struck me (of the many!). If you’d like to quote one of the participants in a blog post, article or elsewhere, please attribute and link it up properly.  To view the full post a quote derives from, click on the sayer’s name. Thanks for the support!

  3. August, I missed this post! I’ll have to step back and visit it, maybe this weekend. Sounds great and wonderful advice, especially for younger folk/girls of which I have two. They struggle, as I suppose we did when younger.

  4. Every one of these quotes is suitable for framing but in this morning’s reading of your post, it is Jenny Hansen’s that lights me up. Thanks again for the BOAW fest as it has spread so much inspiration and loving-kindness, of which there can never be enough.

    • That’s one of my faves as well, Karen. I searched for a glittery underwear image to pair with it, then realizes it stands supremely on it’s own. 😉 Thanks for the wonderful support!

Congrats to Kathryn Chastain Treat on winning the $50 gift card and Kassandra Lamb on the Starbucks card. And I’m thrilled I won a Starbucks card, too! Thanks so much, August! I love all these quotes. My favorites as far as inspiration are Audrey Kalman’s and Barbara McDowell’s. The funniest one is Jenny Hansen’s. Totally cracks me up!

Thank you for putting this awesome BlogFest together. The inspiration in these posts will go a long, long way, as will the posts from the first two years.

  18. Thank you so much for the rap up August! I really appreciate that you shared the highlights of each post since I had my oldest son in town, who I hadn’t seen in a year, right smack at the same time as the BlogFest and my website is in the midst of a remodel. And I know this sounds crazy, but I was actually thinking of participating this year. Yes, I was, unlike other previous years. So I bathed in the inspiration from my fellow writers. Kathryn Chastain Treat’s post especially resonated with me because I suffer from the same ailment that she does. So I have the upmost respect for what she’s been through and her fantastic, beautiful attitude! I look forward to next year! ((Hugs!)) 🙂

I see those two statements are the THEN and the NOW. Kudos to August for pulling this wonderful online festival together. Thanks!
